Along the coast of Liguria, just one hour from the Hotel Miramonti, there are five villages among the most picturesque in the region. Known as the Cinque Terre, these small towns have been included among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1997. These are the villages of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
Squeezed between the sea and the mountains, the Cinque Terre are characterized by the particular structure of houses and streets. Each building has been built in harmony with the mountain's nature, overlooking the sea: definitely a scenographic position. The evocative atmosphere of these villages is then enhanced by the vivid colors of the houses that once helped the inhabitants to orient themselves in the fog.
From villages of fishermen and farmers, the Cinque Terre have become tourist destinations known all over the world. Impossible not to be fascinated by these places after a walk along the Via dell'Amore or after a tasting of Vernazza white wine.
Reaching the Cinque Terre is also possible by train from Aulla (20 minutes from the hotel) in just 30 minutes.
